The Lanzarote trainer Alejandro Morín was proclaimed champion of the Canary Islands last Saturday for the fourth consecutive year, when he won with his dog Nemo de Tabisguan in the V Qualifying Selective of IPO Training of the German Shepherd Dog. The test, organized by the Royal Spanish German Shepherd Dog Club (Real CEPPA), was held in Los Baldíos (Tenerife).
In this way, Alejandro Morín has qualified one more year for the National Championship, which in its twenty-ninth edition will be held from March 3 to 5 in Cartagena. In addition, it will be qualifying for the World Championship that will be held in Tilburg (Holland) from October 4 to 8.
The competition, which brought together German shepherds from Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria and Tenerife, was very close, since Nemo de Tabisguan only surpassed the second classified in this training modality by one point, in which the qualities of the participating dogs are assessed in the search for a person's trail, obedience and defense.
