Until 6 p.m. this Monday, gusts of 58 kilometers per hour had been recorded. In the coming days, waves of between 4 and 5 meters and wind gusts of up to 75 kilometers per hour are expected.

The storm will continue in Lanzarote until at least next Wednesday, according to the forecasts of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), which has activated new yellow warnings for the next two days. Specifically, on Tuesday the island will be on pre-alert for adverse coastal phenomena, to which on Wednesday will be added the yellow warning for strong winds. 

It should be remembered that for this Monday Aemet has activated, from 3 p.m., yellow warnings for rain, expecting rainfall of up to 15 liters per square meter in one hour, and for strong winds, with a forecast of gusts of up to 75 kilometers per hour. Already in the first hours of entering the pre-alert situation, specifically until 6 p.m., gusts of 58 kilometers per hour had been recorded in the airport area.

These warnings will be deactivated at midnight from Monday to Tuesday, but at 6 a.m. the pre-alert for adverse coastal phenomena will be activated, which will extend until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, expecting waves of four to five meters in the north and west of the island. In addition, at midnight from Tuesday to Wednesday, the yellow warning for strong winds will be activated again, with gusts of up to 75 kilometers per hour also expected.
