The accordionist Miguel Afonso took to the stage of the Casa-Museo del Timple, in Teguise, on Friday to present his sixth record, called "Islas". The event began after 9:00 p.m. in the exhibition hall, where he was accompanied by other great Canarian musicians such as Óscar Afonso, Jaime del Pino, Ernesto Rossgëger, Luis Montesdeoca and José Manuel Pérez-El Patillas.
All of them made the audience enjoy the 90-minute performance, in which the accordion was the protagonist, although it was accompanied by other instruments and by the voices of Óscar Afonso and El Patillas, who offered some musical nods to other archipelagos of Macaronesia.
Miguel Afonso was very aware of tradition and modernity in this concert, two elements that the accordionist handles with great ease and professionalism. The Councilor for Culture, Olivia Duque, attended the event and gave the musician the poster announcing the concert. In addition, at the request of the public, the entire team of musicians had to perform several encores before ending the concert.
