A large number of family members, friends and the general public traveled to the parking lot of Playa de los Charcos to support the swearers who had requested to participate as such in this Flag Swearing ceremony, organized by the Infantry Regiment “Canarias” 50 of the Brigade “Canarias” XVI and with the collaboration of the Teguise City Council.

This event began promptly at 12:00 hours, with the reception of the authority presiding over the event, General Armada, and rendering of the regulatory honors. Once the force in formation was reviewed, the general greeted the civil and military authorities present at the event, as well as the swearers and other attending personnel.

Then the act of swearing allegiance to the flag for civilian personnel would begin, with the taking of oath or promise to the swearers by the Colonel Chief of the Infantry Regiment "Canarias" 50, Gabriel González Segura, after which they passed one by one in front of the national flags belonging to the Infantry Regiment "Canarias" 50 and the Infantry Regiment Soria 9, thus ratifying said oath or promise.
