A video in a bar in Caleta de Famara is circulating these days on social networks, as if it had happened in the middle of alert level 4, but it was actually recorded in October.
The recording shows several young people dancing standing inside the bar without a mask and without maintaining a safe distance, as well as other people walking inside the premises, also without a mask, and therefore violating some of the health measures that were already in force at that time. However, in October meetings were allowed and also the use of the interiors of bars and restaurants.
The recording also shows two Civil Guard officers at the bar, who have been questioned with the dissemination of these images. "That was in October, so I don't know why that video is being sent now," said the Councilor for Local Police of Teguise, Miguel Ángel Jiménez, who takes "for granted" that if there were two Civil Guard officers, they would intervene.
The Civil Guard has not confirmed whether action was taken at that party and whether any complaint was filed given the time elapsed, but they have stated that the video was recorded on October 24 -when the restrictions were very different from the current ones- and that "no irregularity has been found regarding the agents."
