A total of 21 students graduate from the University School of Tourism of Lanzarote

The students of the XIII Promotion of the Tourism Degree of the University School of Tourism of Lanzarote (EUTL) celebrated their graduation this past weekend, in an event that took place in the Auditorium of Jameos del Agua. The councilors of the Cabildo Marciano Acuña and María Jesús Tovar, accompanied the 21 students who were protagonists of this ceremony, which was also attended by the rector of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Lluís Serra, and the director of the EUTL, Eva Crespo, and her team of teachers, among others. 

Marciano Acuña thanked on behalf of the Island Corporation the families and the teaching team of the EUTL and conveyed, on behalf of the president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Oswaldo Betancort, his most sincere congratulations to the newly graduates: "Thank you and congratulations because today they celebrate the end of a stage and the beginning of another that, I am sure, they will face with the same commitment, dedication and perseverance; essential values for those who are going to play a fundamental role in the promotion and sustainable development of Lanzarote", expressed the councilor. 

The councilor also recalled "the relevance of tourism quality for the socio-economic development of the Island and the need to continue betting on training to improve the level of the sector". He also encouraged the graduated students and future professionals "to be ambassadors of our cultural heritage".

For her part, the Minister of Finance of the Cabildo, María Jesús Tovar, also wanted to congratulate the students after graduation, which she considers "the reward of the work done for four years." In addition, she also values "the commendable work of the EUTL workers in the training of young people on the island".
