The model born in Tenerife and based in Lanzarote, Macu Herrera, will represent the Canary Islands in the 'Mrs Universe 2018' beauty contest, which will be held in Cebu (Philippines) from December 4 to 12. The title as delegate of the Canary Islands has been assigned to her after Miriam Vega, first finalist of the Mrs+30 Las Palmas 2017-2018 contest, left it free. She was initially appointed as representative but could not continue for personal reasons.
According to the organization of the Mrs+30 Canarias contest, Macu Herrera began her modeling career at the age of 18 and, after a long break to dedicate herself to being a mother, 22 years later she has returned to the world of fashion after being selected to participate in the filming of the movie Wonder Woman (Fuerteventura), being the main extra among two hundred women.
Macu Herrera is 42 years old, is the mother of a 19-year-old girl, is passionate about fashion, and works in different sectors of the business world. She arrived at the Mrs+30 Canarias contest after applying to the casting for women over 40 years old.
"Her extensive career as a runway model has allowed her to reach the dream of her life and be the representative of the autonomous community of the Canary Islands in the most important beauty contest in the world, where 90 women from all over the planet meet every year", they highlight from the organization, from where they wish her "good luck" in "this important task".
