A small boat intercepted off the coast of Lanzarote

There were 47 people on board, 46 men and one woman, all of them of Maghrebi origin. Among the men are several minors, the exact number of which cannot be determined.

Maritime Rescue has intercepted a precarious vessel off the coast of Lanzarote at 4:00 p.m. this Tuesday. There were 47 people on board.

The vessel was rescued by the Salvamar al Nair 17 nautical miles south of Arrecife.

The Civil Guard has activated the Red Cross device to assist them upon arrival at the Puerto Naos dock. Specifically, they arrived at Puerto Naos at around 6:30 p.m., 46 men and one woman, all of them of Maghrebi origin and in apparent good health.

Among the men are several minors, the exact number of which cannot be determined.

After this rescue, the Salvamar Al Nair has headed to the rescue of another vessel detected by SIVE Las Palmas.
