The mayor of Tinajo, Jesús Machín, participated this Friday afternoon in the lighting of the Christmas lights at the roundabout at the entrance to the capital town of the municipality. In addition, there was also the inauguration of the Christmas Nativity Scene located at the back of the Parish House of the town.

As the first mayor of Tinajo explained in statements to LA VOZ, "this year a Santa Claus figure has been made of lights, which has mobility, that is, it moves its arms, and also sings."

Machín recalled that traditionally the Tinajo roundabout has always had "the best Christmas lighting in Lanzarote". In other years, pine trees and palm trees have been made of lights, which have been enormously successful among the locals and visitors.

Likewise, the entire town of Tinajo is already prepared to receive the Christmas holidays in the best way. The streets of the town in the west of the Island show off their best clothes to enter the new year 2006.
