A new boat, a type of inflatable boat, has been located by a sailboat about 25 miles south of Lanzarote, according to Cecoes. The Al Nair has been the one that has transferred them to the Commercial dock where the Red Cross has assisted them
There were 53 people of sub-Saharan origin on board, including seven women, a two-year-old girl and a six-month-old baby. The girl and the baby with their respective mothers have been transferred to Molina Orosa as a protocol.
This is the sixth boat intercepted in just 24 hours on the Lanzarote coast. In total, 309 migrants have arrived, most of them of sub-Saharan origin.
