The unfavorable atmospheric conditions at Funchal airport, in Madeira, have frustrated some landings on this Monday. This situation has even led to diversions, and one of them has ended up at the César Manrique airport in Lanzarote.
According to reports from AENA, the plane belongs to the Jet2 company, which took off from Amsterdam this Monday morning bound for Funchal. Seeing their attempts to land on the Portuguese island frustrated, the plane was diverted to Lanzarote, where it landed around noon.
However, the plane has already taken off from César Manrique airport, heading to Funchal airport in Madeira.
In addition, AENA has informed La Voz that another four flights to Madeira have been diverted to Gran Canaria airport and one to Tenerife.
