A boat located 2 kilometers east of Lanzarote

A boat carrying 38 people, three of them women, was traveling on the boat

A boat has been located in the early hours of the morning 2 kilometers east of Lanzarote, near Jameos, according to the Emergency Consortium.

According to CECOES, the Helimer helicopter located the boat, which was rescued by Maritime Rescue. There were 38 people of Moroccan origin, 35 men and 3 women, on the boat.

Although it was initially reported that there were four women and three men injured, all occupants have been assessed by the Red Cross upon arrival at the Commercial Dock, and none of them required a transfer to Molina Orosa.
