A boat arrives on its own to Charco del Palo

According to the Emergency Consortium, 26 men of Maghrebi origin have been rescued 100 meters from the shore

Maritime Rescue rescues a boat that was intercepted this Monday afternoon in Charco del Palo in Haría. A boat with 26 men of Maghrebi origin who were 100 meters from the shore. All of them are in apparent good health, reports the Security and Emergency Consortium.

The events occurred at around 5:55 p.m. on the coastline, 1 mile northeast of Lanzarote, when a citizen on land detected the boat, alerting the CECOES shortly after.

Local Police, the Red Cross and the Canary Emergency Service have also traveled to the scene, reports CECOES.

After the rescue, the Salvamar went to the Puerto Naos dock in Arrecife.
