Maritime Rescue has rescued about ten kilometers from Arrecife 57 sub-Saharan migrants who were trying to reach Lanzarote in an inflatable boat, as reported to EFE by the state company.

The zodiac was located by a fishing boat southeast of the island's capital, which gave the notice to mobilize a rescue boat.

The group, formed by 53 men and four women, has boarded the Salvamar Ácrux, with which it is heading to the port of Arrecife.

This is the second boat that arrives this Friday to the Canary Islands. A few hours ago, the Salvamar Macondo drove to Arguineguín (Gran Canaria) five men of Maghreb origin located in a wooden boat about twelve kilometers from the Maspalomas lighthouse
