The conejera artist Eva Ruiz visited the White House this past Thursday, the official residence and workplace of the President of the United States and one of the most emblematic buildings in the country. The visit of the Lanzarote singer took place on the occasion of Hispanic Heritage Month.
Hispanic Heritage Month is an American tradition that takes place between September 15 and October 15 of each year to recognize the contributions and influence of Latin Americans and Hispanics in the country.
"Yesterday was a day that I will always remember. An honor as a Canarian woman to represent my land in places that I would never have imagined," the artist said in a photograph shared on social networks, who was proud to represent the islands "on the other side of the world."
Among the carousel of images shared on her social networks, Ruiz has posed next to a painting of the former first lady of the United States, Michalle Obama. The portrait of the first lady was revealed just two years ago, already in the Joe Biden legislature at the head of the 32 states of the country.
