The Haría City Council, in collaboration with the 'Club Lucha Unión Norte Orvecame', organized on Monday afternoon the informative talk 'Let's Normalize Diabetes', given by the nurse educator in this disease, Ico Toledo.
The talk, which took place in the La Tegala Sociocultural Center, was a "success in participation" as it was attended by "fifty people", including residents of Haría and young athletes from the lower categories of the Wrestling Club of the northern municipality.
The well-known nurse Ico Toledo spoke about the signs and symptoms of this pathology, in addition to the possible complications that can affect people who suffer from diabetes and the way the patient should act and, if applicable, the relatives or people who may witness a glycemic crisis.
From the Departments of Health and Sports, led by Marcos Lemes and Alberto de León, respectively, they highlighted the importance of educating and training from a very early age in issues related to health, safety and emergencies, since knowing some basic steps can save lives.
