The newly formed Energy Community aims to be "a bridge between organized civil society and public administrations in the field of clean energy, also to participate in public policies on the island of La Graciosa related to this matter," he adds.
In addition, another of its functions is "to transmit the aspirations and demands of the residents in a coordinated manner to all the competent entities and administrations on the eighth island, in terms of energy and environmental care", it collects.

The community was born with the participation of twenty founding partners, neighbors of Caleta del Sebo (La Graciosa) and "intends to bring together the rest of the residents and companies on the island", he makes clear.

The new entity is currently participating in the European forum Clean Energy for EU Islands Forum 2023, where it participates as a candidate island for the thirty Renewable Islands for 2023, a European Union program to fully decarbonize thirty islands in the European territory by 2030.
Also "El Sol de La Graciosa" participates in forums of Canarian energy communities with a social vision and created from organized civil society.
