A 49-year-old woman of Belgian origin was injured on Thursday afternoon after suffering a spectacular accident on the road to Playa Blanca. Past the Salinas de Janubio, the vehicle left the road and ended up overturning, leaving the victim trapped inside.
The intervention of the firefighters was necessary to free the woman, who then had to be transferred by ambulance to the Molina Orosa hospital. According to the first assessment of the Canary Islands Emergency Service, despite the spectacular nature of the accident, she only presented "minor" multiple contusions, unless "subsequent complications" arise.
In addition to personnel from the Security and Emergency Consortium and the Canary Islands Emergency Service, agents of the Civil Guard have also traveled to the scene, who have been responsible for instructing the corresponding procedures after the accident.
