National Police agents have arrested a 49-year-old woman in Arrecife, with 23 police records, as the alleged perpetrator of four theft offenses and one robbery with force. She stole money and credit cards from several businesses, taking 10,670 euros from a food establishment, and also stole a hydrocompressor from a building in the capital.
The events unfolded on March 14 after a woman reported that a woman had entered her hair salon and, in a moment of distraction, had stolen 200 euros from the counter.
Two days later, agents received a second report in which a woman with similar characteristics had accessed a restricted area of a food business in the capital, where she had managed to seize 10,670 euros. The police investigation allowed them to identify the alleged perpetrator of both events, a 49-year-old woman with numerous police records.
Four thefts and one robbery with force in a week
The agents were able to verify that the arrested woman had also participated in three other criminal acts committed between the 19th and 21st of this month in another business in Arrecife, where she stole a woman's purse, and in two properties in the municipality in which she stole a hydrocompressor and 75 euros.
After the corresponding police report was prepared, the detainee was placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority.
