National Police agents have arrested a 25-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man, both of Albanian nationality, at Lanzarote airport as alleged perpetrators of a crime of document forgery after identifying themselves with false French passports.
The events unfolded after a call from airline staff informing police officers that the two young people had identified themselves with false French passports.
The agents were able to verify that the travel documents did not comply with the security measures of the same, so they were arrested as alleged perpetrators of a crime of document forgery. Among their belongings, the police officers located several documents of Albanian nationality in the name of the arrested.
After drawing up the corresponding police report, the detainees were placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority.
