Agents of the Civil Guard of  Costa Teguise,  have arrested two people, a woman and a man-, with initials S.P.S. and J.R.P.H. respectively, both of Spanish nationality and with numerous police records, as alleged perpetrators of a wave of robberies that were being committed in vehicles of the tourist viewpoint of Yé, in the municipality of Haría.

The Civil Guard collected several  complaints since last September 25  for various crimes against property, all  in the northern part of the island of Lanzarote, specifically in the town of Yé where they accessed the interior of eight tourist vehicles, always by breaking the window. The effects stolen were generally cash, although on occasion they stole small items of easy sale such as jewelry,  cameras, high-end watches, etc.

Based on the analysis of the information provided by several witnesses, the vehicle allegedly  used to commit the robberies is located, managing to identify the alleged perpetrators of the crimes, people with an extensive criminal record, resulting in J.R.P.H. -Spanish, 44 years old- and S.P.S. -Spanish, 41 years old- proceeding to their arrest on November 22. The local police of the municipalities of Haría and Teguise have collaborated in the device.

They have been arrested for  a continued crime against property, specifically for robbery with force inside a vehicle for performing this practice from the end of September until they were arrested.

The detainees have been placed at the disposal of the corresponding Court, on guard duty, of the town of Arrecife. Meanwhile, the Civil Guard assures that they are now working on the recovery of the stolen goods.
