It was after ten o'clock on Monday night, when a resident of the town of Punta Mujeres, in the municipality of Haría, observed a boat approaching the area known as Las Casitas del Mar. The resident alerted the Emergency Service, 112, of the arrival of this boat. The security forces, Local Police of Haría and Civil Guard, went there and saw how the occupants fled, although they managed to intercept 12 of them, including three minors.

One of the children had to be transferred to the General Hospital of Lanzarote as he had a febrile syndrome. The rest were in good health.

According to statements from one of those captured, there were a total of 26 people on board, so the search device was activated, which resulted in the location of another seven adults in the vicinity of the area during the night. On Tuesday morning, the Civil Guard continued the search through the municipality of Haría.

The second one, in La Rocar

Meanwhile, on Tuesday morning, another boat was located in the La Rocar area, in Arrecife. According to the commissioner of the National Police, José Antonio Fernández, "when the agents arrived, they could only find four minors, the rest, around 25 people, had left, so we continue to look for them."

The four minors were transferred to the General Hospital of Lanzarote where they underwent bone testing, and are currently at the National Police Station.

According to the Civil Guard, seven of them fled yesterday after disembarking from the boat in which they were traveling in the north of the Island, in the vicinity of the town of Punta Mujeres.
