The first of them, arrested in Playa Blanca, municipality of Yaiza, assaulted a 23-year-old Saharawi man in the early hours of the morning who was outside one of the nightclubs in the Atlántico Shopping Center.

Apparently, the assailant identified as B.E., 34 years old and a native of Morocco but with legal residence in Spain, repeatedly hit the young man and stole his wallet with 150 euros. The victim, who had minor injuries to his face and had to receive medical assistance, was unable to recover his money.

The second detainee responds to the initials M.D.D. 20 years old, originally from the Philippines and resident in Arrecife and was arrested in Alegranza street located in Puerto del Carmen, minutes after intimidating an Irish couple with a knife.

After verifying that the couple was not carrying any valuables or money, the assailant ran away. Upon realizing that the police were following him shortly after, he threw the knife to the ground and fled, which ended when he was reached by the agents.
