Only one in four Lanzarote residents believe the current economic situation in Spain is good, specifically 24.9% of those surveyed in the latest Canary Islands socio-barometer, conducted by the UNED of Gran Canaria.

The second island with the fewest people agreeing that Spain's economy is doing well is La Palma. On the beautiful island, 30.2% of surveyed residents believe the national economy is in a good situation.

Next are Gran Canaria and Tenerife, where 33.7% and 36.1%, respectively, responded affirmatively, followed by Fuerteventura, where the percentage was 35.5%.

On the island of La Gomera, 42.6% believe the national economy is in a good moment, while on El Hierro, the most optimistic island regarding the country's economic situation, this figure rises to 54.3%.

In Lanzarote, 37.5% consider the Spanish economy's situation to be fair, while 37.6% think it is bad

The latest Canary Islands Sociobarometer was published in November and is a periodic survey research on the opinions, habits, and attitudes of the resident population in the Canary Islands and their evolution over time.

The project originates from a Cooperation Agreement (2020-2023) between the Vice Presidency of the Government of the Canary Islands and the Distance Higher Education Foundation of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the entity that owns the Associated Center of the UNED in Gran Canaria, for the implementation of a Sociobarometer of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands, which the Center has been carrying out since 2020 as a fundamental part of its research activity.
