The Civil Guard arrested two men on September 25 as alleged perpetrators of a fraud crime. These two people, 40 and 55 years old and of foreign nationality, allegedly managed to rig one of the electronic roulettes at the Puerto del Carmen Casino so that the ball would stop at specific numbers, which they were betting on. They managed to take up to 55,000 euros. They were brought to judicial disposition of the Arrecife Duty Court.

The investigation began on September 25, when an employee of the establishment reported an alleged continued fraud at the casino at the Civil Guard facilities in Tías. "After analyzing the documents provided by the complainant, the Tías Territorial Judicial Police Team initiated the corresponding investigations to clarify the facts, finding a series of indications that put them on the trail of two citizens of foreign origin who had attended the aforementioned casino on numerous occasions in recent days," explains the Benemérita.

The Civil Guard was able to verify that between September 9 and 25, R.S.C. and A.C.M. had defrauded the casino of more than 55,000 euros through the "rigging of one of the electronic roulettes in the establishment, managing to make the sphere - or ball - always stop at a series of numbers that they had previously bet on", says the Civil Guard.

Thus, the agents arrested "in situ and flagrantly" R.S.C. and A.C.M., who were carrying more than 10,000 euros in cash at that time. Immediately afterwards, the Civil Guard searched the home of the two arrested, finding "new relevant evidence for the investigation".
