The National Police have arrested and brought to justice Harold Alberto M.P., a native of Colombia, 31 years of age, and Edgard Andrés B.P., also a native of Colombia and 34 years of age, who are accused of a crime of assault, resistance and disobedience to authority.
According to a police statement, several officials from the Local Citizen Security Brigade appeared on La Niña street in Arrecife after being commissioned by the 091 room. A call had previously alerted that several individuals were destroying a vehicle, and that a brawl with knives was taking place in the area.
The agents contacted one of the owners to confirm the facts and, once they were trying to identify the two possible perpetrators, they attacked the police officers, managing to grab one by the neck and causing injuries for which he had to be treated at the General Hospital.
Despite the attack, the agents managed to subdue the defendants, transferring them to the police station and placing the two detainees at the disposal of the court.
