The Traffic Unit of the Local Police of Arrecife initiated proceedings for thirteen crimes against Road Safety in the week of October 30 to November 5. Seven of the thirteen crimes were committed in the early hours of Saturday, November 4 to Sunday.
Among the crimes that were committed are: seven crimes for driving under the influence of alcohol, exceeding the legal limit allowed, four crimes for driving without a license, having never obtained it, and another two crimes for driving having the license withdrawn.
The thirteen drivers have been summoned for fast trials without detainees in court, the agents of the police force have reported.
In addition, during that week, there were also nine administrative sanctions for testing positive in the alcohol test, two sanctions for testing positive for narcotics, sixteen sanctions for driving without mandatory insurance and eleven sanctions for lacking the Technical Vehicle Inspection (ITV).
