They activate a search device for a person at sea in the El Golfo area following an alert

The alert was received around 5:45 PM this Monday, after a caller reported that a person had not been seen exiting the water.

The Canary Emergency Service (SUC) has confirmed that around 5:45 PM this Monday, May 25, a notice was received alerting that a person had suffered a sea strike on the coast of El Golfo, in the municipality of Yaiza.

According to the information provided by the SUC, the person who gave the alert indicated that they had seen another person on the coast and that, after suffering a sea strike, they had not seen them come out of the water.

Following the alert, a search operation has been launched in which the Local Police, Firefighters, Civil Guard, Maritime Rescue, and the GES helicopter are participating.
