The structure of the house in Argana Alta, which was affected on Sunday by a terrible fire in which three people were injured, two of them seriously, is "in perfect condition", according to an inspection by technicians from the Arrecife City Council. The Councilor for Social Services, Carmen Sáez, told La Voz that part of the family will be able to return home in the next few hours, although they will probably do so this Wednesday. "Structurally the property has not been damaged, the structure is in perfect condition," said the mayor.

The fire especially affected the upper part of the house, which was completely burned. However, in this building there is a garage enabled as an apartment, which was saved from the flames. "In the next few hours, the family will be able to return to this part of the house," said the capital's councilor.

In the fire, a mother, a father and their 32-year-old son were injured. The son has been transferred to the Virgen del Rocío Hospital in Seville given the severity of his burns. The father has been evacuated to the Doctor Negrín Hospital in Gran Canaria. The mother remains in the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital. "There are two seriously injured, but for the moment we have no new news," said Carmen Sáez.

The rest of the children, another five, were relocated to a hotel in Arrecife. All of them lived in this same house, to which they will be able to return, at least, to the lower part, to the garage.

From the Arrecife City Council they have assured that "they will proceed to help this family in any way they can". "We will orchestrate the help in the best possible way, because we want to lend a hand to these people, to be with them in these moments", said Carmen Sáez. In this way, the City Council could help the family with the rehabilitation of the house.
