The search for the missing swimmer on Thursday afternoon in Los Pocillos in Puerto del Carmen will become passive this Friday, as reported by the Emergency Consortium.
On this day, the Civil Guard and firefighters continue working on the investigation. Agents of the Civil Guard are carrying out the appropriate investigations to find his whereabouts, in addition to asking around. The firefighters will also start a sweep of the area.
After these investigations, it will be agreed whether or not to reactivate the active search for the missing swimmer, as reported by the manager of the Emergency Consortium.
It should be remembered that the search began on Thursday afternoon after a call from a hotel receptionist to CECOES, when he saw a man asking for help from the sea.
Immediately, a device was activated with the firefighters who began a reconnaissance of the area both by land and by sea, with the help of the jet ski. In addition, information was collected from the Civil Guard and Local Police, and a GES MI 21 helicopter, a Salvamento Marítimo Salvamar Al Nair vessel, an Emerlan vessel and Civil Protection of Tías were also incorporated into the service. After several hours of searching, the search was unsuccessful.
