The National Police have arrested and brought to justice a suspected drug dealer who was found with drugs in the Simón Bolívar Park in Arrecife.

A police statement explains that the events took place on July 6, when officials attached to the Police Station of the capital of Lanzarote prepared a special device around 8:30 p.m. for the prevention of small-scale drug trafficking. It was then that they located Daniel G.P., 19 years old and a native of Arrecife, who was carrying 10.22 grams of hashish and about 22 euros in cash at the time of his arrest.

For identical reasons, according to the police report, on July 9, agents of the National Police Corps also arrested Daniel Alejandro A.A., 22 years old, resident on the Island but a native of San Cristóbal de La Laguna. This second person mentioned is also accused of drug trafficking since when he was arrested, on El Pedro street in Arrecife, he was carrying in his pockets a total of eight ecstasy pills, six packages with 2.72 grams of cocaine and more than 500 euros in cash, supposedly the money from several sales to buyers and consumers.
