National Police agents have dismantled in the Canary Islands a cocaine selling point in an apartment in the Los Gladiolos neighborhood in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The investigation began after the existence of this active drug dealing point was detected, where an individual would allegedly be engaged in selling said substance from his home.
Numerous people with cash
After investigating the situation, the agents observed that a "large number of people" attended the residence, bringing cash and leaving the place with the substance.
Therefore, once the necessary evidence was gathered and with the corresponding judicial authorization, the National Police entered and searched the property. In this apartment, they arrested the main person under investigation and his partner, as well as seized 250 grams of cocaine, 73 grams of cutting agent for this same substance, 49 grams of hashish, and cash.
The detainees are charged with a drug trafficking offense, and they have been placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authority, which ordered the imprisonment of one of them.
Two minors, in "extreme unsanitary conditions"
During the search of the investigated person's home, officers verified that two minors aged 3 and 6 years resided in the dwelling in extremely unsanitary conditions. The property presented a massive accumulation of garbage, as well as a cockroach infestation and a large number of insects and rodents.
Faced with this situation, the acting officers immediately contacted the Public Prosecutor's Office for Minors of Santa Cruz de Tenerife to mobilize the necessary public assistance resources to protect said minors, who were immediately placed under the protection and care of the Directorate General for Minors and Family of the Government of the Canary Islands.
