The world of dubbing in Spain is, historically, a hermetic and centralized sector. For an island artist, crossing the border of anonymity and positioning oneself in front of a professional lectern on the mainland is a challenge that few manage to overcome. However, Jenelle García has broken the statistics, becoming the rabbit voice that already resonates on the main streaming platforms and movie theaters.

From the island's stages to EDB's discipline

Known in Lanzarote for her facet as a singer, Jenelle always harbored a special curiosity for the ductility of the voice. While local stages gave her experience in interpretation, an ambitious dream was gestating within her: to give life to characters, both animated and live-action.

Aware that the industry would not knock on her door on the island, she decided to risk it all. She moved to Barcelona and, returning to her original profession as a nurse, worked tirelessly to pay for her studies at the Barcelona Dubbing School (EDB), one of the most prestigious centers in the country.

Two years of technical training and perseverance were the prelude to a meteoric rise.

From anonymity to big productions: "Five Nights at Freddy's" and "Witch Hat Atelier"

What began as an foray into voice-over and advertising spots, soon transformed into a first-class professional reality.

The turning point came with an unexpected call to participate in the additional voices for the anticipated “Five Nights at Freddy’s 2”. What seemed like a one-off opportunity turned into a succession of calls for major titles:

● Television: Participation in the series “The Man vs. The Baby”, starring the celebrated Rowan Atkinson.

● Cinema: Collaboration on the sequel to the action thriller “Greenland 2”.

● Professional Milestone: Her first leading role as Luluci in the acclaimed anime “Witch Hat Atelier”, available on the Crunchyroll platform.

An art that fights for its recognition

García's career not only stands out for his personal talent, but also focuses on a profession that is, in essence, a unique art.

Spanish dubbing, internationally recognized for its extremely high quality, is going through a moment of vindication for dignified economic conditions that do justice to the specialization and dedication of its performers.

Jenelle García represents that new generation of voice actors who, with their feet on the ground but their eyes on the podium, fight to make a place for themselves in a fiercely competitive sector.

The future has a Canarian accent

Will we be facing the next voice of an iconic Disney character? Will we hear her leading the big productions of Warner or Universal? The path is laid out.

Jenelle García is the living example that Lanzarote is a cradle of talent, art, and culture. She is a professional proud of her roots who carries the name of her island in every recording, in every shot, and in every character.

Lanzarote has many reasons for pride, and today, the voice of Jenelle García is, without a doubt, one of the most vibrant.
