Firefighters rescue a British tourist who fell on a maritime breakwater in Yaiza

An Emergencies device has moved first thing this Monday morning to a breakwater in the surroundings of a hotel in Puerto Calero after being alerted to the fall of a British tourist.

The deployment began at 7:10 in the morning after the notice of the incident was received at the 1-1-2 Emergency and Security Coordination Center.

Local Police of Yaiza, firefighters from the Consortium of Security and Emergencies, as well as personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Services have also moved to the location. 

The Consortium firefighters were in charge of rescuing this 54-year-old British tourist, who had fallen down the breakwater. After his rescue, the man was transferred with moderate multiple contusions to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.
