Agents of the National Police have arrested R.B.R.Z., 31 years old and of foreign nationality, with numerous police records, as the alleged perpetrator of several thefts committed in three establishments in Arrecife. The value of what was stolen is approximately 1,200 euros.
The events unfolded after a call to the telephone number 091, alerting that an individual had been caught stealing in an electronics store in the capital of Lanzarote and was being held by security personnel, so a police unit went to the place.
Upon arrival, the agents were able to verify that the individual was carrying various objects that he could not prove their origin, in addition to being in possession of a bag prepared to neutralize the alarm systems of the stores.
After several police investigations, two more establishments were located in which the alleged perpetrator had stolen objects. The recovered effects were returned to their owners.
After the corresponding police report was prepared, the detainee was placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority, who ordered his release with charges.
The police intervention was carried out by members of the Local Citizen Security Brigade of the Arrecife Police Station.
