The Local Police of Arrecife proceeded on March 19 to the arrest of a man for a crime of gender violence against his sentimental partner.
The detainee, against whom there were already several complaints and even a restraining order was filed, tried to prevent the agents from accessing the house, denying any type of altercation in the home, as reported by the City Council.
However, the agents of the Local Police of Arrecife heard cries from several girls inside the house, so they decided to enter. Once inside, they found the woman "in a state of panic" and locked in the room with her two daughters, ages 7 and 9. In addition, the victim also had apparent difficulties walking.
Given this situation, the man was arrested for a crime of gender violence and placed before the corresponding judicial authorities.
