The Civil Guard has recovered the lifeless body of the diver who appeared on Tuesday at a depth of 90 meters in Playa Chica, in Puerto del Carmen. The agents are trying to verify if it is Bosco Fernández Tapias, son of businessman Fernando Fernández Tapias, who disappeared on this beach while diving in October 2010.
The Civil Guard contacted this Thursday the store where Bosco Fernández acquired the equipment to practice diving. The agents are checking if the equipment he bought in this store corresponds to the one they found on Thursday morning.
The lifeless body of this diver is in an "advanced state of decomposition." That is why they are trying to find out if it is Bosco Fernández through the equipment he was wearing at the time of the immersion. In any case, beyond the initial data that may be obtained, it will be necessary to carry out a forensic study to determine with certainty the identity of the deceased.
The corpse was recovered this Thursday around 11:15 a.m., in the first dive carried out by the specialist divers, who arrived on Wednesday afternoon from Madrid and Las Palmas. The body has been transferred in a zodiac, first, to the small dock, where the boat has not been able to dock.
Thus, the zodiac has headed to the La Tiñosa dock, where a judicial transfer vehicle was waiting, which usually deals with this type of event.
