The Civil Guard of the Main Post of Tías, arrested in flagrante delicto during the early morning of the 13th a person with initials A.H., 41 years of age and numerous police records as the alleged perpetrator of 25 crimes of robbery with force in things, 13 crimes of theft, a crime of robbery with force in an attempted degree and an alleged crime of disobedience and serious resistance to agents of the authority, by resisting at the time of his arrest.
As a result of several robbery crimes that had been committed since last year in a certain area of certain complexes in the town of Puerto del Carmen, the agents of the Investigation Area of the aforementioned Post began the necessary police investigations to locate and arrest the alleged perpetrators.
As a result of the analysis of the robberies described, the statement of several witnesses and another series of police investigations, the Civil Guard obtained that the crimes followed several common patterns:
The robberies were always committed in the early morning or at night, taking advantage of the fact that tourists left the windows open due to the heat, and even if they were closed, they were not secured or bolted.
The stolen goods always consisted of easily transportable objects, such as mobile phones, cash and jewelry; also on occasions clothing, even supposedly the detainee on one occasion abandoned his own shoes in an affected apartment and fled with the victim's.
The tourist complexes assaulted lack security company services or night watchmen, in addition to night reception.
The detainee used dark clothing and the necessary garments to avoid being identified, accessing in most cases the apartments by means of scaling, regardless of the fact that even some of the walls that delimit the complexes are of heights greater than two meters.
In this way, the agents of the Investigation Area also began to carry out security devices, but without the use of regulatory uniforms, in the affected complexes, arresting A.H. in flagrante delicto in the early morning inside one of them carrying tools that he allegedly used to force doors and windows, resisting at the time of his arrest the action of the Civil Guard.
The detainee and the police proceedings instructed for this purpose have been placed at the disposal of the corresponding Court, acting as duty guard, of the town of Arrecife.
