Several agents of the Local Police and the Civil Guard of Tías established a device for locating and arresting the alleged perpetrator of a violent robbery committed against a British citizen in Puerto del Carmen.
The detainee, James F., 21 years old and of Filipino nationality, was recognized by the victim of the robbery, so he was transferred to the Main Post of Tías of the Civil Guard, where the corresponding procedures were instructed.
Likewise, the Local Police of Tías made another arrest in Mácher, this time due to the alleged attempted robbery in a house by two individuals who were surprised by the residents of the town, who notified the agents.
The neighbors alerted about the presence of an unknown vehicle in the area that was with the engine running next to a house, which escaped quickly when some neighbors were approaching it. Then a man jumped through the window of an adjacent house and ran away, being reached by the police officers who had traveled to the place.
The detainee and alleged perpetrator of an attempted robbery in the house, responded to the name of Yeray E.R., 27 years old and of Spanish nationality. The alleged accomplice of the robbery, who was waiting in a car with the engine running, was later located by the Civil Guard, in a joint collaboration operation with the Police of Tías and the residents of the area, who described the color, make, model and license plate of the vehicle that was supposedly waiting for the thief.
