Eleven years in prison is the sentence that the prosecutor's office has requested for a resident of Puerto del Carmen accused of sexually assaulting a ten-year-old girl of German origin, as well as stealing money in the same home where the little girl was, a crime for which the request for an additional year and a half of conviction is added.
The accused pleaded not guilty and denied the charges against him, claiming that he entered the home invited by one of its occupants, with whom he had been in several bars. A version of the events that does not coincide at all with the accusation, since the complainants claim that they did not know the individual and that they found him in their house in the early hours of the morning.
The witnesses; the father, mother and brother of the allegedly assaulted girl, were not present in the room because they are in their country of origin, although their statements were read, in which they denied knowing the accused and assured that he entered the home by forcing the door (a fact that was verified by the Local Police of Tías, according to an agent who went to the house) as well as that he sexually assaulted the ten-year-old girl in her bedroom.
The father of the alleged victim subdued the accused after hearing his daughter's screams and was helped by his brother to hold him in the home until the police arrived.
The two doctors who attended the girl included the alleged abuses in a report and stated that the girl suffers from stress and psychological damage caused by the events committed by the accused.
