Six people injured in a traffic accident in Yaiza, one of them seriously

Three vehicles were involved in the accident and firefighters had to rescue two people.

Six people have been injured in a traffic accident that took place this Tuesday on the LZ-2, near El Molino de Yaiza, in which three vehicles were involved. One of those affected is a 49-year-old woman who had serious injuries, while the rest are men who had minor injuries.

At approximately 3:42 p.m., the 112 received an alert reporting a head-on collision, and three ambulances from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) were dispatched to the area, one medicalized and two basic life support, firefighters from the Security and Emergency Consortium, Local Police and Civil Guard.

Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters had to extricate a woman and a man who were in different vehicles. In the latter's car was also another person, who was his son, although he did not need to be released. As for the third car involved, there was a woman who got out of it on her own.

As for the 49-year-old woman, she had serious injuries and was transferred in a medicalized ambulance to the Molina Orosa Hospital, while the rest of those affected, five men aged 80, 65, 27, 22 and 32, had mild cervicalgia. Two of them, the oldest, were also evacuated by ambulance to the Molina Orosa Hospital, while the other three were transferred to Hospiten.

The police services took charge of the corresponding proceedings.
