The Civil Guard of San Bartolomé de Lanzarote has completed an investigation with the arrest of five individuals, as alleged perpetrators of a crime of robbery with force, a continued crime of document forgery and fourteen counts of fraud.
The investigation began last April 23, based on a complaint filed by the management of the Health Center of said town, having suffered a robbery with force in the aforementioned Health Service, in which unknown perpetrators, after forcing the lock of the access door to it, stole, among other effects, several medical prescription pads and two official stamps of two doctors.
The line of investigation drawn by the Civil Guard gave the first results, when agents of the same certified that in different and numerous pharmacies in the towns of Arrecife, Costa Teguise and San Bartolomé de Lanzarote, various medications had been dispensed with the stolen and falsified prescriptions.
The investigations bore new fruit when it was possible to verify the identification of the alleged perpetrators of the events, whose initials correspond to I.P.Q, C.J.N.H, A.F.P.M, C.J.A.G, E.F.T and a woman S.G.L., all natives of the island and with ages between 15 and 40 years old.
One of the last arrests was made once the Judge of the Investigating Court on duty issued the mandatory warrant for entry and search of the home of the same. In this, the Civil Guard had to knock down the access door to an annex of the property, as the now detained had hidden inside a closet.
In the course of the search of the home, the civil guards seized the stolen official medical stamps and a huge amount of prescriptions. The Armed Institute continues with the investigations and further arrests are not ruled out.
