Romina Celeste's husband has already been brought before the court of First Instance number of Arrecife, as his detention was not finally extended as requested by the Civil Guard. Thus, Raúl Díaz Cachón, who has been in judicial custody since morning, will testify throughout Wednesday.
According to sources close to the case, the judge did not consider it appropriate to extend Romina's husband's detention, considering that the investigation carried out by the Civil Guard so far provides sufficient data not to extend his arrest. However, the Benemérita continues with the search of the house where Romina Celeste lived with her husband and the rental vehicle that the detainee allegedly used to dispose of the remains of the missing woman.
On the other hand, different agents of the UHEL (Helicopter Unit), the Provincial Maritime Service and the Group of Specialists in Underwater Activities (GEAS) will continue searching for possible remains on the coast, focusing again on this day in the area of Los Hervideros where they already searched unsuccessfully on Monday.
The investigation is being directed by the People and Homicides team of the Organic Unit of the Judicial Police of the Las Palmas Command, which will be supported in the searches by the ECIO (Central Team of Ocular Inspection of Criminalistics) and by a dog specialized in the search and location of cadaverous remains of the Cynological Service of the Civil Guard.
