The Yaiza City Council has raised the red flag on Playa Blanca beach due to water contamination.
It was the Red Cross who alerted of the possible contamination, since the bathers have suffered skin rashes and even the members of the NGO have also suffered rashes when entering the sea to collaborate with the bathers.
The facts have been brought to the attention of the Local Police and the Civil Guard. This Monday, health technicians will go first thing in the morning to analyze the waters.
