Agents of the National Police, belonging to the Local Police Station of Arrecife, have arrested L.M.S.V., 44 years of age, as the alleged perpetrator of seven robberies with violence and intimidation in the capital of Lanzarote. The investigation began when the police related several complaints, received at the police station, in which it was specified that an individual, who hid his face with a balaclava, had entered several establishments in the capital.

This person, according to the complaints, was carrying a knife and, with it, intimidated the employees to seize the daily collection. After carrying out the corresponding police procedures, the agents identified the perpetrator of the events and established a surveillance device, which culminated in his arrest.

Subsequently, the investigators carried out a search of the detainee's home, where various effects that had allegedly been used at the time the robberies were committed were seized. Among these objects, a knife and different items of clothing were found.

The detainee, who has a history of similar events, was placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority, who ordered his imprisonment.
