The Civil Guard has arrested five people in Lanzarote for different crimes.
On the one hand, a British tourist was assaulted by two Maghreb subjects on the Avenida de Las Playas in Puerto del Carmen (Tías), who snatched his mobile phone while he was taking some photos with the device. The thieves ran away, but an hour later, agents of the Civil Guard of Tías managed to locate and arrest the Moroccans A.B. and M.E.G., 19 and 23 years old, recovering the mobile valued at 350 euros.
In another service, the Civil Guard of Tías arrested the Irish P.K.D., 19 years old, and the British A.R., 29 years old, when in Puerto del Carmen both were driving a car at high speed, in the wrong direction and without respecting the indicative signs. Once they left the vehicle, the foreigners fled running, being reached and arrested by the agents.
Also, the Civil Guard of the Main Post of Tías arrested the Guinean D.B., 27 years old, when in a street of Puerto del Carmen he was surprised while he was engaged in selling drugs. The civil guards surprised the sub-Saharan in possession of several wrappers with just over seven grams of cocaine, along with several fractionated bills as a product of the sale of this narcotic substance.
On the other hand, troops of the Civil Guard of San Bartolomé have arrested the young A.R.R., 21 years old, and a girl of 17 years old, both residents of Arrecife, accused of committing two robberies in houses in the town of Playa Honda, stealing 14,000 euros in cash along with several jewels.
Finally, in Yaiza, the Moroccan R.A., 19 years old, was arrested, together with another Moroccan young man of 17 years old, both accused of a crime of Trespassing, when they were sleeping inside a room being discovered by the resident of a private house in the seaside town of Playa Blanca.
