A traffic accident that occurred at 6:19 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, on Luxemburgo Street, in Playa Blanca (Yaiza), required the intervention of the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium, after being alerted by the Local Police.
According to the Consortium itself, upon arriving at the scene, the officers found that a vehicle had lost control and collided with the sidewalk with its front part, causing an oil spill on the road. The emergency personnel then proceeded to clean the road, using sepiolite to absorb the spilled liquid, and to remove the vehicle to the side of the road to facilitate traffic, which was restored shortly after.
The action was coordinated from the South Park and had the collaboration of the Civil Guard and the Local Police of Yaiza. Fortunately, there were no injuries and the road was declared suitable for traffic again after the intervention.
