The driver of a car lost control of his car and crashed into the median of the LZ-20 road, which connects Arrecife with Tinajo, near the industrial buildings of Argana, in the capital of Lanzarote.
Firefighters from the Consortium of Security and Emergencies of Lanzarote moved to the beginning of this road after being alerted by the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (CECOES) that a vehicle had an accident and was obstructing traffic on the road.
Once in the area, they verified that the driver of the vehicle, who was already outside of it, had lost control and crashed into the median.
After that, they secured and signposted the area until the arrival of the Civil Guard and Local Police who are in charge of controlling traffic.
The driver was transferred to the hospital
The driver was transferred to the hospital for a health assessment, but did not present relevant injuries, according to the Consortium.
The firefighters have collaborated with the Cabildo's Road Service, who together with firefighters were in charge of cleaning and putting the road back into service.
The vehicle's battery is disconnected and the vehicle is finally removed by the crane. The service is terminated, informing the fire station and CECOES.
