Lifeguards rescue a diver with signs of drowning in Playa Chica

The SUC, the Local Police and the Civil Guard have come to the scene, alerted by the Coordinating Center for Emergencies

This Monday, April 24, a diver has been rescued by lifeguards from Playa Chica in Tías. The rescue happened around 10.09 hours.

The Beach Surveillance Service has taken the diver out of the water with signs of drowning, reports the Government of the Canary Islands. Then they alerted the Emergency Coordinating Center (CECOES) for their action.

The Emergency and Security Consortium immediately activated the necessary emergency resources and notified the SUC, the Local Police and the Civil Guard, to go to the place.

The 50-year-old woman presented signs of moderate drowning. After being treated by the lifeguards, she has been transferred in a medicalized ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.

After the attention, the police officers who went to the area, collaborated in the incident and made the appropriate reports, collected from the Government.
