A 20-year-old Spanish national has been placed at the disposal of the courts after being investigated by the Civil Guard for an alleged crime of theft. Allegedly, this young man stole a mobile phone valued at 800 euros from a work colleague, who like him is a lifeguard. The events occurred in the hotel in Costa Teguise where they work and the phone ended up appearing "buried" in a nearby garden, according to the Benemérita, who has also pointed out that the investigated party "admitted the facts".
The investigation began last Thursday, October 20, when the victim of the theft of his mobile phone reported the events at the Civil Guard facilities, giving "a series of data to the investigators for the clarification of the facts", the police force points out. The complainant stated that during a break in his job at the aforementioned hotel, he left his telephone in a locked box that the employees have for their personal belongings, but upon returning someone had stolen it.
"Quickly and through a technological application to find lost or stolen telephones, the complainant found his telephone buried in a garden area near the scene of the events", the Civil Guard relates.
After collecting the information provided, the agents investigated his work colleague as the alleged perpetrator of the theft, who "admitted the facts". The investigated party has been placed at the disposal of the corresponding court, on guard duty, in the town of Arrecife.
